February 27, 2024 (TACOMA, WA) — The Green Transportation Summit & Expo, the largest mobility show in the Pacific Northwest, and RE+ Events, producer of RE+, the largest clean energy event in North America, will partner in 2024 and co-locate their respective shows in Tacoma, Washington, August 20-22.

The Green Transportation Summit & Expo or GTSE, as it is known among its attendees and others familiar with alt-fuel and zero-emission mobility, has provided fleet managers and advocates – including Clean Cities coalitions, clean-air advocates and policy makers – for more than 10 years a place in the Pacific Northwest to come together and learn more about alternative fuels and low- and zero-emission cars, buses, and trucks.  In 2023, it welcomed 1,000 attendees who learned from more than 75 exhibitors and 135 subject matter experts on mobility-related subjects, in addition to test drives of some the latest light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles from some of the leading automakers, including Daimler Truck, Dannar, Freightliner Custom Chassis, Kenworth, Mack, Motiv, Nikola, Paccar, Peterbilt, Rivian, Volvo, Westport and Workhouse.

“GTSE has a history of providing excellent content and a strong learning experience for its attendees,” noted Brian Trice, organizer of GTSE and executive director of the Columbia-Willamette Clean Cities Coalition. “As a result, last year we welcomed more than 1,000 attendees, drawing people from the Pacific Northwest and across the U.S.”

GTSE is also noted for its pioneering focus on environmental justice, workforce development, and an agenda that features a broad spectrum of renewable, zero, and low-carbon fuels. In 2023, it expanded its focus to include the emerging discussion of carbon reduction, carbon credits and trading through its Great Western Carbon Conference.

RE+ Events will co-locate their first event in the region – RE+ Northwest – with GTSE at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center. The convention center has served as the home for GTSE for seven years. The company, co-owned by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), produces RE+ (formerly SPI), the largest clean energy show in North America, in addition to region-focused and international events. In 2023, the event welcomed 40,000 to Las Vegas to learn more about solar, wind, microgrids, energy storage and hydrogen. In 2024, more are expected to attend in Anaheim, California.
